Avatar API — Jogg.ai vs HeyGen
REST / Async

Jogg.ai

Text-to-avatar clip API — simple REST, no SDK needed
  • ✦ POST text → get MP4 clip URL in 5–10s
  • ✦ Stock avatars + custom avatar upload
  • ✦ Voice cloning bundled in paid plans
  • ✦ Cheaper per minute than HeyGen
  • ✗ No real-time streaming SDK yet
  • ✗ Lower avatar realism vs HeyGen Pro
Best for Free + Basic tiers. 2–4h to integrate.
WebRTC / Streaming

HeyGen

Real-time streaming avatar with <1s lip-sync latency
  • ✦ @heygen/streaming-avatar npm SDK
  • ✦ WebRTC — sub-1s latency
  • ✦ Highest photorealistic quality
  • ✦ 30+ languages, voice cloning
  • ✗ Higher cost ~$0.05–0.15/min
  • ✗ WebRTC session management needed
Best for Pro tier. 1–2 days to integrate.
